Gate Panel Quote Request

Need to work out what you need for your gate panel? Fill in the form below, hit submit, and we’ll get back to you with a quote in no time – usually within 24 hours!

Single Gate: To calculate the appropriate width for your gate, begin by measuring the width of the opening. If you are planning to install posts, subtract the width of each post you intend to use (50mm per side for our 12G posts) from the total measurement, followed by an additional deduction of 40mm to account for a 20mm gap on each side.

Next, consider the desired height of your gate. Subtract 50mm from this measurement to allow for a gap beneath the gate.

For instance, if the opening width is 1200mm, the adjusted width for the gate would be 1200mm - 50mm - 50mm - 40mm = 1060mm. If the target height is 1800mm, the adjusted height for the gate should be 1800mm - 50mm = 1750mm.

Double Gate: When measuring the width for a double gate, start with the width of the opening. If installing posts, reduce this measurement by the width of the posts you're using (50mm per side for our 12G posts) plus an additional 60mm to accommodate a 20mm gap on each side and between the gates.

Then, determine how tall you wish your gates to be and subtract 50mm from this height to cater for the gap underneath.

For example, if the opening width is 2000mm, the calculated width for each gate is (2000mm - 50mm - 50mm - 60mm) / 2 = 920mm. If the desired height is 1800mm, the adjusted height for the gates would be 1800mm - 50mm = 1750mm.

When assessing the size of your opening, it's crucial to consider whether you'll be fitting new posts or utilising existing ones.If you're planning to install new posts, you should measure from the outside edge of where these posts will be positioned. For instance, if a post is to be affixed beside a wall, start your measurement from the wall's edge and then subtract the post's width.Conversely, if posts are already in place, take your measurements from the interior edges of these posts, ensuring you only account for the necessary gaps.

What Does 'Add Hardware' Mean? When you select 'Add Hardware' on the form, it signals that you would like the quote to include all necessary fittings for your gate, such as locks and hinges. This option automatically adjusts the quote based on the size of your gate and whether it is a single or double gate.

What Does 'Add Posts' Mean? Choosing 'Add Posts' indicates that your quote should account for our 12G posts, which are intended to be set 600mm deep into the ground. If embedding posts in concrete is not part of your plan, you can skip this option and add posts manually to your quote later on.
